Emilio Buonanni is an American composer, producer, and musician currently based in Sapporo, Japan. He is best known for his electronic music and his work as a drummer.
His musical journey began at the age of four when he started learning piano, but he quickly found his passion in percussion and drums. This eventually led him to Butler University where he studied percussion performance with the incredible Jon Crabiel. While at Butler he also began to study jazz piano with Gary Walters and composition with Dr. Michael Schelle.
Since moving to Japan in 2010 he has toured the country as a drummer and regularly performs at Hokkaido’s largest summer festivals. He currently plays with his band Youryokutai Club and is a regular supporting member of Hokkaido band “sleepy.ab.” He has composed music for indie-movies, video games, YouTube content, and has a growing catalog of solo albums.
